How to Give

Giving in support of military teens can be done either directly or through a giving vehicle that can provide tax benefits. Below are a couple examples of some commonly used types of gifts beyond donations of cash.
  • Bequest – include language in your will or trust specifying a gift (percentage or amount) to be made to Club Beyond/MCYM as part of your estate plans (see example below)
  • IRA Rollover – if you are 70 ½ or older, you can use your IRA to fulfill your charitable goals by making a gift (qualified charitable distribution) through your IRA custodian
  • Donor Advised Fund (DAF) – recommend a grant from your DAF account in support of Club Beyond/MCYM
  • Stock – donate appreciated securities directly in order to avoid capital gains tax and make a charitable impact. Gifts of stock can be received through the Young Life Foundation to our Young Life Military – Club Beyond fund (#3487). Please contact Emily Mahoney for instructions on providing a gift of stock.
For information on additional giving vehicles and any specific questions on making a gift utilizing any of the above options, please contact Emily Mahoney,emahoney@clubbeyond.orgor call her at 816.309.6899
